it looks very suspect if you're trying to do that when a single player is rewarded a quest, changing phase is usually only done in some boss battles where there are multiple players fighting a single boss.
other than that, changing phase is no different from other smart actions, you just hook it to an event and then `SMART_ACTION_SET_INGAME_PHASE_MASK`

in blizz content, player changes the phase, not creatures, creatures have assigned phase forever (ofc. with custom content you can do custom things )

the 3 NPCs that are there in the picture are only there if the player has not yet completed the introductory quest. so if quest done = set NPC in phase 2 as an example. and the player can no longer see them. ^^

that will cause all the other players to not be able to see them either, that's why you almost always change players phasemask, not the creatures

auras are, so if you cast a spell to a player that gives him an aura that persists after relog and death, then things will work "as intended"
