i never use it on servers where there is any kind of existing phasing system, only completely custom servers with everything else ripped out

slowly understand the principle but e.g. the npc https://www.wowhead.com/npc=30575/frostbrood-destroyer is in phase 7 neither in the spell_area is the phase defined nor anywhere else

creatures can have phasemasks applied either directly in the `creature` table or via SAI/c++ if you need it scripted, there is usually no issue with using those for creatures since you have a lot more control for them and what they do compared to players
