I strongly recommend that you read through a basic introduction to git before you try to do something like this when you've done a lot of edits, it's too easy to fubar if you don't understand what the commands do

Luckily I made few changes.
No master has fallen from the sky yet and I google before I ask here, but if I can't find a solution I'll just ask here.

it wasn't a bad question, git is just very easy to mess up. If you _really_ want to just mash in commands;

`git add .`
`git commit -m "these are my changes"`
`git merge ...`
