These are the database setup notes I wrote down recently when I made a new VM for current TrinityCore. Setup mariadb in Debian:
sudo mysql_secure_installation
(answer the questions)
sudo myqsl -u root
<enter linux root password>
Make username/password:
create user 'trinity'@'%' identified by 'trinity';
Set permissions:
grant all privileges on *.* to 'trinity'@'%' WITH GRANT OPTION;
Quit mysql
Run the world server to create the databases:
cd ~/server/bin
./worldserver
Answer yes to create the 3 databases when prompted
