The problem with memory is not that your computer runs out, wotlk is hardcapped at 2gb total in the client for being a 32-bit application. It's possible to increase this to 4gb if it causes issues, look at "large address aware"

also know from experience that "warmane client" and crashes/issues/bugs/strange exe are frequently mentioned together. While it's still possible you do have a serverside issue, it's still a red flag
