first compile using DTOOLS=1, then get the extractors from bin, move them in the root of your WotLK game client and THEN open up your terminal cd to your mapextractor and use the command ./mapextractor and voila!

this one is kvm installed on dedi using virtualizor, its a bit of pain to get windows on it
