To put it simply, you look at the server Logs, every action and movement of the player or npc depends on the server, which creates an extra load on the server. You just now turn on your server, open the CPU Analyzer, go to your server through the game client, and just start moving the camera quickly, very quickly. The CPU load will increase by at least 20%. Are you fucking serious?

And all because in fact, the load on maps should be distributed not to the server, but to the client, and the client already sends data via MySQL, which is why the load on the server is reduced significantly!

Really, shut up! You are paradoxically thinking of overestimating the system requirements for old content!

Some games, such as MapleStory, do in fact have client control over npcs, and the WoW client has this capability too (possessions, and I believe non-combat pets as well), it's just not a good idea to let players control creatures in a stealth-heavy game so neither blizzard nor private servers does that. This is why you will se "vacuum hacks" on many korean mmorpgs, but not in WoW. Servers calculating mob vision and pathing is necessary for the integrity of the game.
