Not to throw a fly in the ointment here- but also if you have two MySQLs running, they are NOT on the same port- so you have to make SURE your configs point to the appropriate port... I ran into an issue where I had mariaDB on default 3306, so I installed MySQL on 3308, but didn't change config so it was attempting to connect to my mariaDB and giving an error :
ERROR 2059 (HY000): Authentication plugin 'auth_gssapi_client' cannot be loaded: The specified module could not be found.
because mariaDB is using that... (as a side note: mysql CLI will also give error if I don't give it -P 3308!) hope this helps avoid any other issues

I would recommend using the mysql scripts provided to create the databases, user, etc... (I linked them a while back)...

Well after re-run cmake and trying to release in VS2022 i get 9 errors and 2 warnings
