I'm getting old and senile but wasn't arcemu just ran on sql back in the days? I'm guessing things have advanced massively over the years though

people are complaining everyday now there isn't a `item_template` table anymore and don't understand how to use hotfix system to make custom items

The hotfix system is great. not requiring client patches for client side data is really nice and actually easy to use too. Having the base data from db2 or from mysql doesn't really matter there.

That's on them though. TC has clearly stated that hotfixes aren't meant to be used like that and won't support it.

the most basic custom item is just filling the `Item` table.
