Ok so
For the dummy in me, here is a scenario:
1. I pull the latest branch (master)
2. My server is compiled and running, my master database pack is imported and server is running with the master branch.
3. I create a new character in game.
A) Will I be able to choose a panda for example from MoP? Or a Worgen from Cata ?
B) if answer to A is positive, what you are saying is that I will be able to see some of that content of those expansions but it might be (surely) missing lots of stuff DB and core as well.
Is that correct ?

Correct. Super basic things, such as character creation and some fundamental gameplay aspects such as casting spells are implemented and functional. But anything beyond that first layer is varying between 'just fine' and 'completely missing'

Of course baring in mind some of the mechanics might have changed and of course the old post-cata zones that were damaged/gone are also going to be missing as well

In theory yes. However, given that between 335 and master/classic is almost a decade of system changes, some of the old 335 content may be broken too since the way it was initially implemented is no longer compatible with today's standards
