you have to look into the item.dbc /item_template tables. they do have these Ids pre-defined. We don't know why they swap between them but they do it

yes. they select a random enchantment and apply the stats based on it. the item itself on its own is a blank item with damage only

so every item gets its stats from either the suffix or if the item has fixed stats, the randomproperty?
