this is not the point of this discussion. the thing is that bosses use certain instance script mechanics which are automated by BossAI. smartAI does not handle these, so consequently in order to properly support and handle bosses, we would have to add new smart actions

I think you coined it best here. Everything is relative, using the correct tool for the job is much better than trying to force a tool to be something other than what it is

I don't think adding *more* complexity and/or features to SAI is a good solution, you just end up bloating it beyond what it *should* be used for

sometimes I am left perplexed by how people think SAI was written in stone by Moses centuries ago and cannot be modified at all. SAI implementation is in C++, anything you can do in a C++ script can be done in SAI, as long as one implements it
