well I work with AI and some jobs in robotics and writing some AI libraries require C++ when writing algorithms for example self driving car ones

plus sometimes we need to make simulations which run very fast to train our agents and models

so i expect if I take a C++ role next year or incoming years I want to be confident jumping in codebases, now I own C++ open source code and it scares me compared to other languages , so I want a project to play around with for fun.

and for me like an emulator like trintycore touches a lot of key concepts in general programming you do a bit of all sort of stuff from networking, threading, optimizing
