You could use a Windows VM, maybe that'll work. Performance might be bad though

yeah, i think there was a lot of issues running 32-bit executables (wotlk) under wine in the past and for that reason you were forced to use that specifically, but i'm not in the loop with macbooks so i don't really know

whatever you choose, atm the only supported wow client is windows-x64 (for master branch)
