npc scripts and quests are fairly straightforward and there are gui tools for it, dungeons are more annoying and you'll need to be familiar with the full stack of wow development

Yay, I found the locale patch file (locale-enUS.MPQ, right?) and it did indeed contain a DBFilesClient! I don't know what you mean with patch-a and patch-C though, I can't find those

as for custom dungeons, that's something we simplify a lot in tswow, which is based on trinitycore

as for map backups, depending on just how large your map really is `git` has some success in making backups incremental, but there are some people working on massive projects in the wow modding discord that has more elaborate schemes for it to save space

Following https://model-changing.net/tutorials/art...blank-map/ , on step 8 it says: Add your “Map.dbc” to the patch, project folder or client by the following path: “DBFilesClient\” "
Is that then the DBFilesClient inside the locale-enUS.MPQ?
I thought it would be a "normal" folder so I made changes in the Map.dbc in my (CSmile\Trinity\3.3.5a\dbc folder with MyDBCEditor.
Holy duck this is confusing
