I don't think swap is a good idea and it should totally be used willy nilly as if it's just as good as ram And I know even a really fast ssd doesn't match up

trust me, i've seen my fair share of servers with swap active and much less ram than needed, they always die no matter the operating system they get into limbo city where simple operations take hours
