and nothing is faster than RAM anyways except L1/L2/L3 CPU cache so...

neah trinity doesn't have a interface to talk to memcache redis or all the "new" stuff you are using

True. However in a lot of enterprise environments you would have smaller spec nodes using centralised memory through redis or some such method
