The problem is that you can, if you can abuse data types, put in arbitrary SQL statements to do anything you want as the user connected to on the database.
Very very very bad if they decide to do something like

```

Worst I got was user last Sunday using my own website against me. They used 3 computers, went to my monster and item tables which load the most images, then proceeded to refresh all 3 systems flooding the login server.
