i can't even git clone a new copy of acore-docker at this point and get it up and running as a blank slate anymore - I assume others trying to do so are running in to the same thing..

No, you're not the only one. The weird thing is that it's been months at this point since there were any changes to docker builds.

the biggest WTF to me is that yours is segfaulting; as far as I can tell, that hasn't really been reported yet.
