the docker version also looks old, going off of the client. You can give your user permission to use docker (if you'd like, it's preferred and what docker recommends) with the command `sudo usermod -aG docker YOUR_USER_NAME`, and then re-logging into the server

not without the - ; what i found was that docker compose is included with docker on synolgy, but with the - in the name / command.
