FWIW, works great with No-IP dynamic DNS - just put my dyndns address in the address field and opened the requisite ports, bam, working from anywhere

Yeah IDK what was going on, turned off defender firewall, and I got it all working, works local and through external, through ddns and also through dns that i set the cname to my ddns

oh I also had to set port triggering in addition to port forwarding. I had done this before but one of my port triggers was 8585 instead of 8085, not sure if this was one of the fixes but I think it was, I spent way too long typing in IP addresses....lol

I like that you can get a domain from cloudflare for 10 bucks, and it comes with a proxy for your dns connection

I run the wow server on a wireguard network and use an Oracle cloud vm as the “router” (forwarding rules in firewalld)
