in the env folder these are like the files from outside the docker container that stay the same, right ?

it's a little weird how the folder is set up by default, but high level yeah.
there's a few docker-internal volumes that get mounted under it (so you won't see them, but they're there)
For the configs (the `.dist` files), those may get overwritten with a rebuild and the `.dist.conf` files will get created if they don't exist
