so what it should do is take the proper .conf.dist files from the normal structure, rename them to .conf, then replace whatever "special" settings the docker containers use

we then craft our own mini conf files, but since dist is no longer loaded, those don't contain everything required

so really, the script that copies .conf.dockerdist should be removed, changed to copy .conf.dist to conf, then use sid as an example to replace the correct info
