Yeah, honestly if you just want to have fun and not mess around with modules the pre-compiled is easier.

My only issue with the precompiled was that I couldn't find the place to edit server rates, so I was hoping this one would let me do that more easily

I think your acore.sh needs to be run as an admin. In linux you would use sudo acore.sh then provide your password at the prompt. I don't know how wsl does it.
