On the other hand, how many testers are there? Is it really not possible to get something to run on PR xxx for 1 hour after someone entered in on chat?

Should be possible to host a PTR for something like that? The commands are pretty easy to script

Yeah but for a bunch it could be the same as his case, I know damn well I wouldn't bother trying to compile the whole thing, it took me a day to get my setup under control. Had it been as easy logging in on some website and requesting a specific PR, it'd be a lot easier

On 2010-2012 on a french serv, i tested my class at 90%, because we had PTR access and gm command.
For me it’s simple, if I don’t have a simple access I can’t help.
I already tried to get my own serv before for fun, it’s failed
I tried the « simple » docker solution and also failed
While I love testing WoW, I just hate admin system work

I can literally compile it in under a few minutes on a 6 year old laptop

You’re not really testing you’re just trying to find bugs and report them, and by all respect that’s not needed
