I recommend restarting the server instead to prevent issues and possibly messing with things linked to it.

Taking those 7 seconds (using my own startup time as a base) to restart the server is worth debugging why your changes aren't working - usually because reloading doesn't work the same way as restarting.

Things like npc_vendor, npc_trainer and those things that aren't relying on other things is fine to reload. I do that all the time. However, creatures and such I have had many occasions where it wasn't working even when reloading but restarting fixed it.

You can always try reloading and if it isn't working then try restarting worldserver and if still isn't working you know you need to find out why.
