I'm just getting back into this server stuff and was running into the same issue on Windows. Same errors with SSL 3.0.13, but downgrade to 1.1 and cmake worked. I tried just swapping FindOpenSSL.cmake like you suggested but still get the errors. Only fix I found so far was installing SSL 1.1

Yes, I use 3.1.2 just fine. I haven't tried newer or older versions of 3.1 though.

So 3.1.2 can be used. With 3.1.2 can I just build over the existing build or do I have to delete all files and start from scratch. Sorry for all the questions but I wanna make sure I do this right. Thanks in advance.

thanks.3.1.2 worked for me too so I can confirm 1.1 and 3.1.2 both still work on Windows, but 3.0.13 and 3.1.5 don't. Wiki link needs to be updated since the slproweb doesn't have 3.1.2 any more.
