You're right. I'm really too old

If compatible, what are the sorting rules for the character set of utf8bm4 when creating a new database?

utf8mb3 isn't really a thing, that's just utf, which is deprecated

But for sorting rules for mb4:
utf8mb4_general_ci: MySQL's default sorting rule, the Unicode part is not strictly sorted in Unicode order
utf8mb4_unicode_ci: sorting by Unicode character order
utf8mb4_0900_ai_ci: sorted by Unicode 9.0 characters, including characters outside the basic multilingual plane

Now I am creating a new database called mysql8.1, sorted as utf8mb4_ 0900_ AI_ Ci

I am currently preparing to migrate the 5.7 data to MySQL 8.1. Data is a very sensitive thing. I am afraid of errors

Shouldn't be an issue, just backup your data just in case

Thank you

I will try the migration first. I hope everything goes smoothly,

I also wish you all the best

Is it meaningful to actually upgrade the data table of utf8bm3 to utf8bm4? I don't know how to use emoticons with extra language

utf8mb4 is a lot faster than utf8mb3 so you should. utf8mb3 is also deprecated (or will be) so continuing to use it is a bad idea regardless.
