I get plenty of those in M+, damn potatoes just standing around getting damaged for no reason and I have to be responsible for keeping them alive. Better not plant them so they don't reproduce.

That's not a good idea. Many bosses, and trash in raids etc, are set to <= 63 so you're effectively nerfing a whole lot of the content.
