I understand not doing it constantly but at least frequently enough that if something goes wrong you have a backup at some point.

true but when i will update it i dont want to override previous nor have large files for few new lines

I mean if you're redoing every single spawn there shouldn't be issues with exporting them all?

im not going to do it all at once that would be lot of work i will be working map by map instance by instance and updating server in that way

You could export all spawns in whatever area you're working on as you go. You already know I'm sure but you could just select all spawns from a specific map id and export them.

It's not the end of the world if you wait with saving everything until you feel the need to save a backup of what you've done, in your case I understand not saving them constantly but your case is unique for sure.
