and they wont be able to be equipped with right click and melee spells dont register weapons

How come they wont have any icon when I choose a already existing Icon?
But more the problem is that I cant equip it.
Would I then need to do some custom programming to make them work with right click?

Server starts -> reads DBC files -> reads *_dbc tables and replaces the data loaded from DBC files -> proceeds with the data

Because you would need to change data in the client and we don't support or encourage that here. There are other discords for it.

The icon is tied to the item entry, I don't know why but it is. You can't use an existing one because of that.

Fixed both the icon not showing and making it work with right click to equip without needing to replace anything in the item.dbc

Use that program and simply patch it inside your WoW folder.
