Had tried that ealier, pulled latest stable, rebuilt and installed. Same thing. I think <@234784691608092682> might be onto something with the package version showing as unknown though.

You could try removing and installing the packages related to MariaDB again (except the server, unless that's possible) and do a clean build afterwards.
