I'm glad we sorted this one out. It was really strange for me because I never end up seeking help from another developer. I always go to the bottom of the issue but this one was out of my reach. So, if Nightingham posts a message in Discord, it should be known that there is an issue for sure, haha!

i'm a dev and thought it was odd i was having the exact same specific error message in my logs as well

Quick question - now that I reverted back to that commit with git reset --hard b427e8e1 and I did my Cmake - Configure + Generate.

You should be able to just compile it without cleaning it but if you want to make sure it's not bad to clean it first.
