Weird question... I was in here a few days ago getting help for setting up a server on my PC and I got it built and running and all nice and dandy and we were playing over the weekend with just like 4 people and I wanted to play around with editing some stuff that required a rebuild but now the build script is saying it can't find my mysql libraries anymore. I'm hesitant to do what I might normally do here, which is reinstall mysql because we already have character data and shit. Any tips?

If you haven't made any custom changes or anything yet, usually just a backup of the auth and characters DBs is enough

I took an SQL class in college a million years ago but I'm mostly making things up as I go along----how can I make a backup and then restore it later?
