Files in the custom/<db_name> folders are executed on startup and shouldn't do things like that

Oh, it depends on how the module is set up. If set up properly, it will be imported by the auto updater. If not, you either copy them to the customs folders or run them manually.

I believe a lot of the modules are set up *correctly*, can't think of a better word for it.
