That would be in the DBC files:

You can get the `TalentTab` row from the `TabId` value in `Talent`, which tells you the spec name and class (`ClassMask`)

aa thanks a lot! also didn't know wow.tools got such data, was already extracting my mpqs
seems the talenttab id doesn't match the specID that came in later expansions at all, I assume this is just cos specs were basicly just combination of talents in wotlk?
classID does match, that's only why im wondering why specID (or talenttabid) is so different

well yeah the talent system was reworked in the later expansions so of course things won't match with wotlk data
