as far as i can see u didnt commit them so leaving them there and doing nothing else puts u in case where it can prevent u from some git actions in future or u can lose them if u run certain git commands in future

u need to have github account then fork AC then change remote url from ac to ur fork of it locally then commit these new changes and push them to ur repo and from this point u also wont be just pulling to update to latest changes but instead u will need another remote to ac which u will need to take updates from and apply them to ur fork
