If authserver is set to use acore_auth and worldserver is set to use acore2_auth, it won't work. If authserver is set to use acore2_auth and worldserver acore_auth, it won't work.

They need to use the same one.

You could work around it (maybe) by having exactly the same accounts created in both

u seem to be missing fact that they are 1 entity just bcs data are split into 3 DBs and server into 2 executable their internal logic relies on data integrity and u cant split that

u could have 2 auths if accounts and their ids were same but i dont see scenario in which that makes sense to do

The main reason you'd have multiple auth databases is if you're running 2 authserver (or more) and separate worldservers for each of those. Mixing them up won't do without consistency. What Rymercyble said is what I would say too, it doesn't make sense if the data has to be identical (for the accounts, that is)

it wouldnt make sense even for characters and world since there are implicit connections between them and that would break in same way

You connect to authserver, it sends you to the worldserver of your choice and relays the account data - if worldserver can't find that data it won't accept it. That's about it.

When you're connected to a worldserver the authserver has served its purpose and is useless from that point. A cluster works differently though and relies on the auth side of things more.
