- modifying dbc (client modification)
- modifying the binary (binary modification, idk why you would do it this way)
- runtime modification (this can be done through the RCE or warden exploitation)

As has been said, it's still client modification. You're modifying the data within the client, it doesn't matter how you do it. You're changing it, modifying it = client modification.
