So I've run into a bit of a problem and I'm kind of stumped.

I have 2 forks of AzerothCore downloaded and compiled and I'm trying to migrate from running the old repository to the new player-bot one on the same database.

I've followed what I assume is all the steps in the installation instructions again, I've gotten it compiled and both the auth server and game server seem to run perfectly fine with the old servers config (minus datadir being changed to the new dir) but I can't connect to the auth server. The old auth server works perfectly fine with the exact same database/config still

My ports are forwarded and open, my ip is correct, I have the correct dlls in the folder, I have the data folder, auth server isn't reporting any errors, it's reporting hooking to my ip and the proper port, I've rebuilt the project, I can't think of what it could possibly be.

It appears like I can even run the *old* repositories auth server and the *new* repositories game server and get into the game...

Any ideas?

I have firewall in-bound rules for the two ports that AzerothCore uses. Would I need more firewall rules than that?

I don't know, I don't use Windows for servers. It was just a thought since something is obviously blocking the connection for the second authserver executable.

I think that was it, thank you. I added a rule to the program itself and that seems to have solved it. Many thanks

If you're fine with clicking on "queue Wotlk dungeon" but the server redirects you to any dungeon, it's not hard.
