If the connection doesn't count as local, it uses address and james (or whatever is set there) might not work. I'm not sure of the specifics of the setup so I can really only guess.

`localaddress` is the IP the authserver needs to use to reach the worldserver.
`address` is the IP that the authserver sends to the client, so the client can reach the worldserver.
I haven't heard about a third party service to spare proper port forwarding. Best of luck with that approach, i'm not sure it can or can not work.

localAddress is supposedly (at least that's what some people here say) used when something like NAT loopback isn't a thing. I don't know, I'm just going off of what I've heard.
