Methinks the 300-second time limit is not the issue. Been here for over 5 minutes, and it hasn't disappeared.

There is also a condition for the spell but I assume it's just making sure you're in the city when trying to "cast" the spell

It's a bit late and I gotta sleep, so I'll summarize the bugs so I can report them tomorrow:
1. I don't get a soul shard back when the effect triggers and removes my demon.
2. The effect only engages **once**, when equipping the item for the first time, **after** entering the area.
3. Levelling up removes the effect.

Remember to mention that if you lose the buff you have to leave and re-enter the area or you can't get it again.
