You don't inherently have to run the install step for cmake either, that's just how the cmake config have been set up

I don't see what the fuss is all about. You can either choose to run AC on Windows and accept what steps you have to take or you choose Linux and instead accept those steps - it doesn't matter that the steps are a little different. There's nothing more to it.

I'm following installation guide and i'm on "populating the database" step
guide wants me to start Authserver and Worldserver, i expected to see message:
Database "acore_auth" does not exist
Do you want to create it? [yes (default) / no]:
but instead i see error 1146 like above
