Greetings. I've got a server running locally on a virtual machine and I'm able to connect to it myself, but I'm having issues getting a friend to test it with me on an external connection. We're trying to use a service to tunnel through to my local machine because of port forwarding issues. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

I can understand that, yeah. Networking issues aren't very fun to deal with.
I have a double NAT issue (two routers) so I can't port forward or put my modem in bridge mode unfortunately.

By no means the only solution, but what I personally did for my installation before I moved it all to the cloud was I installed tailscale on the other computers and the computer running the installation which let a few friends and I connect easily. Definitely not what you’d want to do with a public server, but if it’s just for you and a few friends it works and it’s very easy to set up if you don’t want to handle networking.

I was trying to use a service called playit.gg, but it has issues with AzerothCore just because of the authserver and worldserver running on different ports and I'm not sure how to fix it. Players can log in and see the realm but not actually get into the world.
