I have a few other services running, mostly related to AC cluster, along with mariadb and it's using 919MB of RAM. Adding 1.3GB on top of that still isn't hitting 4GB. Sure, running the server for a bit would make you hit the 4GB cap but it shouldn't happen instantly.

when i run worldserver, it starts at 1.1, but as soon as someone loads in it jumps to ~1.8 and quickly creeps up to ~2.2

Yes, it'll go up at a steady rate but again, it shouldn't crash **instantly**.

Without any world running on my end, ~900MB used - 1 worldserver running, 2.05GB - I log into the world and it rises to 2.09GB

Went up to 2.11GB now but seems to hold that. Not sure why yours increase so much.

I've never had a lack of RAM in any situation so I couldn't tell you for sure what happens when it runs out aside from the fact that it crashes
