Hello, I'm attempting to bring my compiled server up to date (been about 3 months). It's my first update attempt. Just to confirm, in order to update the database, one needs to copy the SQL scripts in data\sql provided in the source code into the same relative folder after compilation? From what I'm reading running the world server executable will run the update scripts? Thank you in advance for looking, just want to make sure I'm doing this right before touching the database.

No, you don't touch any SQL files from tha main repo. Unless you have deactivated the auto updater, but you would be on your own then.
You just `git pull`, re-run cmake and make/build.
