Think you have to when you first compile the server adjust the settings, let the server run and crash once after it generated ahbot files, after that you should add the sql file and it should work

That's not even reasonable. It doesn't generate shit when you start the server. I import the SQL files, I don't use the auto updater so it's done before the server starts, and update the config file, start the server and it works.

The table they included in their screenshot also wasn't empty at all. It contained exactly what it needs to.

It also doesn't store the items in the world database table. Not at all. It loads items from vendor and loot entries etc on startup into memory and uses the information to sell/buy items.
