i don't want to corrupt the files and if i just have to remake the vendors again and create the quests and items again i will haha. just would almost prefer not to if it was easy.

it depends also what u actually do like if u would merge old version of AC into new version exactly nothing would happen

An even remotely new core wouldn't accept mysql 5.5 which is why I'm betting on it being old as hell and a lot of the database has changed

If you're changing a config that isn't easy to test to make sure it reloaded, it's best just to restart the server. If you can easily test it it's worth a try.
