i have a few questions regarding modules. i got a repack that already included other modules installed and was easy to setup and run, however, i failed to notice till now that im already playing that the ahbot module was not included.
all documentation i find is for compiling your own source, but how can i add the module to the repack without needing to recompile everything? and if thats the only way, does that mean i *have* to lose the auth and world config/data or am i misreading the documentation in that regard?

by default when you build project it creates the new configs in .dist format so original files will be untouched. For the other topic https://github.com/azerothcore/mod-progression-system but for modules not possible

Depending on the repack you might be able to transfer over some if not all of your config/data, but you cannot add a module to a repack

im mostly just interested in the progression data, wouldnt want to start completely form scratch if i have to recompile everything

configs and data would be compatible only if that repack is recent not much modified version of AC if its not then its simpler to just start from scratch than trying to figure out how to transfer everything

that way it helps knowing if its worth it or no, so far ahbot would be the only module id add, but risk of losing all my progression so far is not worth it for just one module

u can also look at it in way that longer u stay on it more data u will lose if u decide to switch
