If gold is Your only problem just let the players start with some in the bag , changing costs to 0 will just make them free but You still have to visit Your trainer

Visiting trainer won’t be a problem. If they start with gold in the bag they can make tons of chars for “starting gold”

To be honest I don't have a clue where it is stored , never needed to change it so cant help You with that, sorry.
